Cordibly is built for people trying to make a real laptop setup work without decoding every spec, cable, and compatibility claim by themselves. We don’t do hands-on lab testing, so our job is to validate the route, make the constraints clear, and only recommend products that fit that route.
1) Start with the setup
We look at the laptop, operating system, display goal, and charging needs first — because those decide what class of hub or dock even belongs in the conversation, and whether Cordibly is the right kind of site for the problem you’re trying to solve.
2) Check the hard limits
Then we verify the constraints that actually change the outcome: port capability, operating system behavior, display load, bandwidth, power delivery, and the common traps that make products sound more compatible than they are.
3) Recommend only what fits
A Cordibly recommendation does not mean “best for everyone.” It means the product fits the route being discussed, the tradeoffs stay visible, and if that route doesn’t fit your device, we’ll say that too.
What we check before we recommend:
- Whether the port can actually carry the signal the setup needs
- Whether the OS behavior matches the result being promised
- Whether bandwidth and power limits change what the dock can really do
- Whether the tradeoffs stay acceptable for the kind of setup being discussed

Trust
How we make money without breaking trust
Cordibly does not currently use affiliate links. If affiliate links are added in the future, they will never change the route, the constraints, or the conclusion.
Rules we won’t violate
- Advice stays separate from picks.
- Picks are explicitly labeled as picks.
- We call out dead ends even if they’re popular.
- We don’t “route” you into products that don’t fit your device reality.
How recommendations stay honest
- Future affiliate relationships won’t decide the route.
- Products only appear when they fit the setup being discussed.
- Tradeoffs stay visible, not buried under praise.
- If affiliate links are added, disclosures will stay easy to find wherever they appear.
Plain promise: If the route doesn’t fit, we’ll say so — even if it costs clicks.
Our job is to reduce returns and frustration, not maximize affiliate conversions.
Privacy
Minimal data. No analytics at launch.
Cordibly does not currently operate website analytics or use advertising or remarketing tags. If optional analytics, advertising, or similar technologies are added later, we’ll update our Privacy Policy and use appropriate privacy or consent controls where required.

Cordibly does not currently operate a separate analytics system or record analytics events about visitor activity.
No session replay
We don’t use tools that record your screen, keystrokes, or form inputs.
No advertising tracking
Cordibly does not currently load advertising or remarketing tags. If those tools are added later, appropriate privacy or consent controls will be used where required.

No. Cordibly is research-first, not hands-on lab testing. When we reference compatibility, performance limits, or platform behavior, we base that guidance on verifiable constraints like spec sheets, platform rules, and repeatable checks — and we don’t imply first-hand testing where none exists.
