Disclosures

How Cordibly may make money, how monetization stays separate from our recommendations, and what readers can expect when affiliate links, advertising, or sponsored content are used.

Affiliate links

Cordibly is operated by Cordibly LLC, a Washington limited liability company.

Affiliate disclosure

Cordibly does not currently use affiliate links. If affiliate links are added, Cordibly may earn a commission when a reader makes a qualifying purchase through those links — at no additional cost to the reader.

Affiliate links don’t decide what belongs in a guide. A product can be eligible for commission and still be excluded, ranked lower, or described with clear warnings if it’s a poor fit for the setup, has unclear compatibility, lacks the right ports or power headroom, or creates failure points we think readers should avoid.

Pages with affiliate links include a disclosure near the relevant buying section or page introduction so readers understand how Cordibly may earn money before they shop.

Advertising

Advertising & consent

Cordibly does not currently run display advertising or load advertising or remarketing tags. If advertising is added later, we’ll update this page and our Privacy Policy to explain how it works.

Where consent or other privacy controls are required for advertising technologies, Cordibly will use appropriate controls before those technologies are enabled. Advertising relationships will not determine what Cordibly recommends or how products are ranked.

Editorial standards

Editorial independence

Cordibly’s recommendations start with the setup problem, not the merchant. We look at what the reader is trying to connect, what their laptop or tablet can actually support, how many monitors they want to run, whether the setup depends on USB-C, Thunderbolt, USB4, DisplayLink, or MST, and where common failures are likely to happen.

Advertisers, affiliates, and sponsors don’t approve our independent recommendations, choose product order, buy positive coverage, or remove warnings from a page. A higher-paying product can still lose to a lower-paying product if it’s the worse fit for the setup.

Research process

How products are selected

We evaluate products using a research-first process. We don’t run an in-house testing lab, so we focus on verifiable constraints: product specifications, manufacturer support pages, standards, compatibility claims, warranty terms, retailer availability, user-facing failure patterns, and whether a product matches the setup it’s being recommended for.

For USB-C hubs, docks, and desk setup gear, that means paying close attention to host-device limits, port capability, monitor count and resolution, operating-system behavior, charging headroom, cable requirements, power delivery, support reputation, and total value. A product that looks strong on paper may still be a poor recommendation if it’s likely to create confusion or fail in the real setup the page is covering.

We may include multiple retailers for convenience. Product order and merchant order are based on setup fit, relevance, availability, and reader usefulness — not payout size.

Prices, promotions, and availability can change quickly in the tech market. Always check the retailer’s page for the most current information before purchasing.

Privacy & analytics

Tracking & analytics summary

Cordibly does not currently operate website analytics, affiliate-click tracking, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or monetization-related identifier handling.

Services used to host, deliver, or secure the site may process limited technical information as described in our Privacy Policy. If Cordibly later adds analytics, affiliate tracking, advertising technologies, or similar tools, we’ll update our disclosures and privacy information to match the systems actually in use.

Business relationships

Conflicts of interest

Cordibly discloses relevant business relationships when they could reasonably affect reader trust. Those relationships don’t decide what we recommend, how products are ranked, or whether warnings stay on a page.

If a sponsorship, paid placement, affiliate relationship, or product access is relevant to a page, we label it clearly so readers understand the context. The recommendation still has to stand on setup fit, compatibility, value, and the failure points we think readers should know before buying.
